Belle needed a quiet place to paint. What she got... was The House. Described by her cousin as "quaint" and "full of character," the old mansion on the isolated farm is anything but. The house smells like something died in it in 1893 and never quite left. The lights don't work, the clocks don't agree, and the walls seem to whisper when the storm rolls in. Charming. Cut off from the outside world as the weather turns vicious, Belle is not alone. There's a man-warm, strong, kind, and very distracting... except for one small problem: She's not entirely sure he is real. Because this house doesn't behave. Doors don't always lead where they should. Time slips. Shadows remember. And sometimes, the past doesn't just echo-it replays. As old journals, strange dreams, and terrifying moments she can't explain bring together fragments of history, Belle begins to uncover tragedies that were never meant to be buried. But the house isn't just remembering. It's waiting... Funny, haunting, and quietly heartbreaking, The House is a story about love, loss, revenge, and the secrets that refuse to stay buried. This story contains themes of psychological horror, violence, and disturbing imagery. Reader discretion is advised. Genre: Mystery/Humour/Romance This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. When you read *Quantum*, you think of physics, don't you? Atoms. Laws. Control. You'd be wrong. This is a story about the smallest disturbance-the kind that ruins a man who has never been ruined. He is a Don engineered for dominance. Calculation stitched into his bones. Distance perfected into an art. He rules with gloved hands and locked doors, his name spoken carefully by men who fear silence more than violence. Women have never tempted him. They want the power, the legacy, the myth-not the man beneath the suit. Desire is inefficient. Kindness is fatal. Smiles do not exist. Until her. She is the anomaly he cannot isolate. The only presence that does not flinch beneath his gaze or kneel for his authority. She doesn't seek his favor or fear his wrath. She steps into his controlled world and the rules *fail*. His restraint becomes obsession. His silence turns predatory. Control begins to rot from the inside. Quantum is a dark romance of slow-burn possession, obsession masquerading as discipline, and a desire so consuming it dismantles every law he lives by. Because the moment he lets her close, the universe does what it always does when a variable is introduced- It collapses. And there is no version of him that survives unchanged. Author Kim

Florence has always been a force of nature. Finishing her Master's degree in Biology, living independently, and finally free from her parents' worried supervision, she should be enjoying her new life. There is only one problem. Her neighbour Robert. The quiet man next door refuses to acknowledge her existence. Every greeting is ignored, every attempt at friendliness is rejected, and Florence decides this cannot continue. After all, everyone deserves good manners. Her solution? A little project. Step one: teach Robert to say hello. Step two: introduce him to homemade cookies and proper meals. Step three: somehow convince this emotionally frozen man that feelings are not a weakness. What Florence does not expect is discovering the real person behind Robert's reserved exterior. A man who has spent years caring for others but forgotten how to let someone care for him. As Florence slowly brings laughter and warmth into Robert's carefully controlled world, she realises something unexpected. Her project was never about changing him. It was about finding someone who understood her exactly as she was. With a stubbornly cheerful heroine, a grumpy but secretly kind hero, and a romance built on cookies, courage, and second chances, The Neighbourhood Project is a heartwarming story about two people who were never looking for love until they found it right next door.

Four group of kids discovers an ancient, dusty compass (magical compass with great design that is shiny and attractive) in a forgotten attic trunk (one of the kid's parent attic), only to learn it doesn't point north-it points to hidden places no one else can find. Each time they follow its strange directions, they're whisked away to a new, fantastical location: a jungle where plants whisper secrets, a mountain peak guarded by talking winds, or an underwater city lit by glowing jellyfish. The compass belongs to the long-lost Hidden Compass Society, a league of explorers who once protected the world's forgotten wonders. Now, the kids must solve riddles, outsmart shadowy treasure hunters, and decide whether to keep the compass's magic a secret or share it with the world-all while juggling school and chores!

FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD Myles Cook is having a rough time. Not only has his mother run off with Jocelyn, her yoga instructor, but Myles and his dad have moved to a tiny rural island on BC's west coast to live in a log cabin. Garcia Island is nothing like Myles' old home in the city; there are no stores, the WiFi is sketchy, and let's face it, the people are strange. There's Clyde, the old guy in the silver airstream trailer who carves erotic demon sculptures, Daisy Archibald, the local coven's high priestess, and Axel Jespersen-a recumbent cyclist and angora goat farmer who is just plain nasty! Finally, there is Norm next door, a man who teaches Myles a little about llamas and a lot about life. Factor in a taxidermy raccoon (Myles' spirit animal?), a first crush, and a whole lot of growing pains, and Myles quickly discovers that truth really is stranger than fiction. But people can be full of surprises, and as the saying goes, you can't always judge a book by its cover. And sometimes, when things are out of your control, the smartest thing you can do is take a deep breath, let go and roll with it. (Well, you can try, right?)

In the neon-colored capital planet of Chigu, Karel enters the school believing she has to prove the worthiness of humans to the empire as a whole. However, just as we all think of ourselves as the "main character" of the universe, Karel is not the only new student dealing with this life changing transition. She is joined by Francis, a tall lanky alien dealing with the pressures of living up to his culture's high expectations for him. Also, Nichol, an artful and highly intelligent alien girl whose innate scientific skills fit well with her family's expectations, but conflict with her own personal aspirations. Finally, there is Kenny, the handsome athletic type alien whose flirty and confident exterior is hiding the dread he feels over the role he plays in his culture's competitive examination systems. Oh, and there is a space dog named... Space Dog. He was named by a bunch of 14 year-olds on their first day of school, so not too surprising. I heard one class named theirs "Pupper-nickle." While initially having very little in common, all four must band together to form a detective and mystery club in order to solve the case of Principal Hobbs' attempted assassination. Along the way, they learn how to deal with their own feelings of anxiety about their roles in society, relate to other cultures, understand the international relations of different peoples and civilizations, find love, and try to turn in their report on Earth history on time. Yes, even with an investigation going on, they still have homework to do. They are not raising slackers at this galactic imperial military high school, I will have you know.

One built a reputation being good at being invisible - getting the job done, and leaving no trace. Maybe too good. The other restores what everyone else walks past. Old buildings, forgotten facades, the bones of things that are already there - no new complications. Lara flew in from Singapore expecting sand, sibling arguments, and absolutely nothing else. A visit to her brother at a base in the middle of the Mojave wasn't exactly a holiday - but mundane had its appeal. Nothing she hadn't already accounted for. Damon has survived things that don't make it into reports. A Singaporean architect expecting a quiet week in the desert was not in any of his files. Apparently his intel had gaps. Catching flights and feelings - sometimes you just have to lean into the cliché.

Y/N never thought much about Pro Heroes. As a quirkless university student deeply immersed in chemistry and physics, her world was built on logic, equations, and late-night study sessions.
