This is kind of a foretasting of what's coming in that book, only told from Race's perspective, instead of the Delanceys'

Race Higgins is excited to start a new life at college. Little does he know that is exactly what he'll get. Just not in the way he thinks... He meets Spot Conlon, a leather wearing motorcycle riding bad boy, and Albert DaSilvia, the rich playboy and life of the party. Who hate each other! However when both of these boys meet Race they fall for him. Which only makes their rivalry grow! Who will Race choose??? A love triangle with a twist!

That isn't a win for anybody." Race stood up straight and crossed his arms. "Well den, Ise can just go sellin' with ya," Spot said, mimicking Races stance and crossing his arms. "What?" Race said, slightly shocked at what Soot had just stated. "Youse heard me, Ise can go sellin with ya then." "Alright then. I'll see you there tomorrow mornin'." "A'ight," Spot said. Both boys hadn't realized the close proximity between them, and only realized how close they had been once Race turned his back and walked away, Spot doing the same.

There will be a good mix of both x reader and whatever ship I may decide to write in, or what any of you guys suggest! Not gonna lie, it's gonna be a lot of Ben Fankhauser x reader. Fifteen year old Charlotte Wheeler is forced to leave her homestead out west with her family when money becomes scarce. The Wheeler family travels all the way to New York in hopes of more job opportunities and help from family. One day, Charlotte meets a group of boys selling newspapers who call themselves Newsies. Against her parents' wishes, she joins them, hoping to make money and contribute to her family's low income. But when the price of newspapers goes up and the Newsies go on strike, Charlotte realizes she's in deeper than she'd bargained for.

PLEASE READ THE REWRITE OF THIS. IT IS TITLED THE SAME BUT THE COVER IS DIFFERENT. Thank you! It's a year after the strike. Spot and Race have been dating now for a while and are happy together. But like every couple, nothing is perfect. The two have a huge fight and Race leaves, saying he's going to clear his head. But when Race doesn't come back the next day, Spot gets worried. He and the Manhattan newsies team up to find Race. When they do, Spot is caught in a problem and its deal to get out of it is worse than any soaking. Will they get Race back for good? Or will Spot never forgive himself for falling short?

The lingering taste of victory is still on the newsies tongues, but in the dead of winter, and with illness spreading like wildfire, it's far more bitter than sweet. Racetrack Higgins should know better than to worry, but money's tight and Jack Kelly is stubborn. A run in with the less than notorious Kingfisher stirs both panic and Race's want to help. His need to. He couldn't save his old family; maybe he can save his new one. But the gang leader is far more crooked than even Race could have anticipated and, despite Jack's warnings, Kingfishers offers for help spiral into something more. Something worse, that involves far more than just Race.
