Kasi Williams, a young black woman from Detroit, has always found solace in the quiet strength of her independence. After the tragic loss of her parents in a devastating car accident when she was just a child, she and her older brother Jason clung to each other, building a life from the fragments of their shattered world. But when Jason is killed in a police shooting ruled an "accident," Kasi's heart is left in ruins. Seeking escape from the pain, she leaves everything behind and retreats to a serene, distant village in China, where the rolling hills and tranquil rivers offer a fragile promise of peace. There, she meets Tang Wei Long (唐伟龙), a man whose name echoes wealth and prosperity, but whose life is shrouded in the cold isolation of his family's industrial empire. The Tangs, owners of a vast network of electronics factories in the bustling industrial hub of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, are known for their power and influence. Yet, Wei Long is drawn to Kasi not for her knowledge of his wealth, but for her authenticity-a rare gem in a world of superficial admiration. When Wei Long first hears Kasi singing to a group of children, her voice carried a haunting beauty that stirs something deep within him. Will Wei Long's relentless pursuit of Kasi's heart be enough to mend the fractures of her past? Or will the weight of their differences keep them forever apart? Dive into this emotionally charged journey and discover if love can bloom where the world least expects it.

Siderion is mere minutes away from becoming a member of the Order and earning his first rank stripe when Serkha City is attacked and his life is changed forever. Thrown away from everything he holds dear, he must scramble for answers as his moral ground shifts under his feet. In a world full of mages and monsters, nothing is safe. - - - - - - - - There were lots of other mages gathered in the plaza, addressing the arkaetres they had ridden with curt nods or short dialogue. The doors to the building were big enough for even the largest dragon to enter, but still only a small imperfection in the huge structure. I knew the door was the size of a dragon because I could see one to compare it to, flying above the dome. Then I realized that the dragon was black. "Dad? Look up there." He looked up and cocked his head in confusion. "I've never seen anything like that before." The beast was quite high in the sky and didn't look particularly threatening, but it still spooked me to see an arkaetre that wasn't white. After watching the shadowy dragon for a few more moments, my dad said slowly, "It seems like they have no rider. We should probably tell the Council about this." I nodded and followed him inside the dome. "But what about the opening ceremony?" I asked nervously, looking down at my watch. "We've got some time." - - - - - - - - Remember to comment and vote for the chapters you enjoy! Any and all feedback is appreciated. "This is it, boys." I gasped, looking right into the eyes of the devil. "This, is the Platinum Snowflake, the long lost jewel of Arthur McPhillian the second." Me, and my two bestfriends, Oliver and Jadyn, had been searching for this treasure ever since the treasure map and clues came in the mail, from an anonymous sender. "I can't believe it." Jadyn examined the jewel - "I can't believe my fucking eyes." she said. Then it happened; It was all a dream. Yes, Oliver, Jadyn, and I were looking for the Platinum Snowflake, but we were no where near finding it. We all come from a small city, called Halifax, which is in Nova Scotia, Canada. One day, I got off the school bus and began to walk home, when my mother texted me asking to grab the mail. So, me being obediant - I did so. And inside that small silver box, was a map - with a clue, that lead to another clue, that would lead to eight more clues after that, and then finally, The Platinum Snowflake. "Have a Sense of Adventure, Oliver." I said. "Fine. But this is a weekend thing, I'm not missing school for it." Oliver replied. And the journey began.

Agoraphobia, Androphobia, and Astraphobia: fear of public spaces, fear of men, and a fear of thunder makes up the list of several fears Dallia Mason suffers from. After being sheltered for 22 years and being pushed to live on her own, she continues to shelter herself and locks herself in her home for years at a time. When a mere paperboy walks into her world, however, her structured life begins to fall apart, and he is determined to help her face her fears even if it means unlocking their past and breaking down her walls. Disclaimer: This story starts off with a character that is all of the negative aspects of herself, making it challenging to warm up to her at first, but if one walks in with an open heart and mind, they'll quickly see the strong potential for development. Although giving the character a chance for redemption will set one on a bumpy path throughout the story, it makes things more interesting not knowing how deep the bumps are.
