VOX PREQUEL STORY! This will go from the events of the flashback up until season one of the show most likely ♥️ A radio silence fic for the most part. The things in this story may or may not be revealed in the show, but this is just my interpretation following the release of season two episode four. The story and characters are not mine! Set between the aftermath of World War II and the shifting promises of the late 1950s, this story follows two men raised on opposite sides of privileges and survival. Vincent grows up in wealth, discipline and expectation. Heir to a powerful name, he was taught early that image is everything. Alastor, raised by a violent father, lives in an era that limits him at every turn. He learns how to move through spaces that welcome his talent, yet reject his presence. Their lives collide in a moment neither will forget - a brief encounter marked by judgment which later leaded to consequences. What follows is not a simple romance, but a slow unraveling: of inherited beliefs, carefully performed roles, and desires that refuse to remain buried. Traditional radio does not rely on television to function... does 𝗵𝗲? It's been a few weeks since... well, that incident with Vox, his very serious threat to heaven and since he had been free. He had now no invisible chains around his neck or having to do what was told by his soul old owner, Rosie. He is still a very powerful overlord, things at the hotel with Charlie have been looking great since more people are registering and it's great!.. Is it? Alastor, the radio demon, cannot sleep, dreams, nightmares haunt him each night, all centralized on 𝗵𝗶𝗺, his biggest nemesis, the television that had owned him for a few days and made his days hell, right, hell. Of course, he will not tell anyone about this, but when Charlie notices his slightly off-behaviour, she advices him to talk to someone, someone of his choice. He first takes this as a joke, but then he realizes the seriousness on her tone when telling him this and how much this could afftect 𝗵𝗶𝗺 But who could he talk to? His soul, his pet, Husk, the bartender. He is the most sane person in the hotel afterall, he has been off after Angel Dust's parting but eh, who cares. Edward, the son of Vox and Alastor, is born-and his existence divides his parents completely. While Alastor fights with everything he has to protect him, Vox rejects the child out of fear and disapproval.
