Raft

While walking across a city bridge, a man looks down into the water. The movement below reminds him of childhood swimming lessons with a favourite aunt. The green depths under the bridge bring back memories of learning to dive and living with the knowledge that some are triumphs and others are disasters.

This story is in a fictional land where several friends are dropped there with little supplies because they were too "wild" for society. One is ungroupable one is antisocial one is a hippie and another is a ninja. They will meet several people along this story but nobody knows what lies around the next tree.

The epic tale is based on the story 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell, author of 'Rooftoppers'

This is my poems that I write whenever I'm mad, sad, happy, or just feel the need to creat something. It was called "Arts" but I feel that that title didn't fit any more. I really hope you guys get a chance to read this and tell me what you think!

A father and daughter are stranded on a deserted island.

He was afraid of heights and now he can fly. She was afraid of animals and now she can talk to them. They were all afraid of something and now they can take control. BY: Sophie

Amber was a 19 year old girl with not much planned for her future. She loved it though, not worrying about the future. Then it all changed when something happened. Ambers plane crashed. Leaving her the only one alive. Stranded, on an island, at sea, with no one except the occasional shark passing by. This made Amber only worry about the future and how the hell she would get off this island

The island seems to be the perfect home for the many children that live there. It has forests and marshes, hills and valleys, caves and beaches, cliffs and meadows. They don't know any other home, anyway. No one remembers their "Befores": the things that happened before they woke up washed ashore on the island with a crate of supplies, and one special item in a pouch around their neck. The children build shelters, take care of themselves and the others, and live a happy life, day to day. Only a few things change: new kids wash up on the shores each year, and the Leavings: in the year leading up to a child turning 16, they build a raft. On the eve of their 16th birthday, they hang up their items in the branches of the After Tree, and sail away into the horizon, never to be seen on the island again. So many questions remain: Who are these children, and why are they here?
