Any continuity errors should be exepted as being part of an alternate universe. Most Characters are owned by Hasbro. If you don't like MLP, Equestria Girls, romance, cheesy humor, and or Shipping RD with Changelings, then I'd find a different book. But if you do like it, this book was make for you.
