"No harm done," he said, handing it back. Then he noticed the drawings inside-portraits of people, a sketch of the very street they stood on, and a half-finished sketch of a man's face. "This is incredible," he murmured, flipping through the pages. Mia blushed. "It's nothing, really." He looked at her curiously. "You don't see how beautiful your work is?" She shrugged, feeling suddenly shy. "I just draw what I see." "Then I hope you'll see me again," he said with a playful grin. "I'm Lucas." Mia smiled, tucking her wet hair behind her ear. "Mia." Lucas glanced up at the sky as the rain continued to pour. Without hesitation, he pulled off his scarf and gently draped it around her shoulders. "Would you let me buy you a coffee? Maybe tell me more about these sketches?" Mia hesitated for only a second before nodding. As they walked toward the nearest café, she felt a warmth spread through her-not just from the scarf, but from the way Lucas looked at her, as if he had been waiting for this moment his whole life. And maybe, just maybe, she had been too.
