This Overwatch fanfiction follows omnic Orisa. In this AU, all the omnics have a human form they can turn into, in which bastion orisa zenyatta and echo use it constantly, but ramattra hates it. To protect her fellow omnic friends, Orisa makes a deal with ramattra for him to take away her omnic self and all abilities associated with it.

Melissa Shield had never had a quirk. Never thought much of getting one. The only thing she had was her vast intelligence. She was a very smart young woman, and her father was very supportive of her projects and ideas. The only thing he didn't like was her admiration of heroics. It was too dangerous, he thought. She had a project he didn't know about. A friend, and guardian. Someone she could trust, fight alongside, and who would support her. Protect her. They would have peace. At any cost.

He meets a special omnic that helps him search for his owner with a bit of comvincing.

Months ago, (Y/n) had awoken with no memory of her past-mind assumed to be altered as a result of the genome editing attached to her files. Experiments have left her with ethereal wings, an emblem of her existence as a pawn and experiment 495. Every day was the same and she had grown used to the repeated routine-simply basking in the comfort the small window within her room provided and showcasing the landscape outside for curious (e/c) eyes. The opportunity for escape finally arises and in a panicked haze: she seizes it, fleeing the facility that held her captive for so long. A bird finally set free from the confines of the ground.
