When Willa realizes she needs to leave her abusive Fiancée in Delaware she makes her plan to go to Montana. Her plan is perfect noone will think to look for her there. The only person who would know about it is gone. Her grandfather was more than that. He was her best friend and more like a father to her than her own ever was. He dreamed of going to Montana and seeing the mountains and moving to a ranch. With him gone she has no reason to stay anymore. With only what she was able to save and hide form Jake she takes off. Willa finds a job in a cafe much like the coffee shop she worked in back home and soon meets Greyson. He's handsome, sweet, and seems to be bringing the old Willa back to life. When Jake shows up and threatens Willa will she be brave enough to stay and see what could be or will she run again and hope he never finds her?

This is a story that I wrote for an English assignment, the assignment was supposed to be a 100 word memoir, but I went over by about 50 words. This is the story before revision. It's a very personal and yet relatable event from my childhood.

A little bit to my right stands a gorgeous brown mare, looking straight at the man in front of me. She is nothing I have ever seen before. Long legs, and defined by muscles even though she is a little bit too thin. She hasn't seen me, just focusing on the men and what they are doing. But before I know it, she's gone. And it's just me and the men, before the men chase after her on their horses as well. - - - Simone Wilson is a 17-year old living on a big ranch/stable with her father. There they have some horses and more than enough to do in their days. But what happens what happens when Simone encounters a beautiful brown mare in the wild? Is it destiny, or just her imagination?
