Gilan, despite his years being an apprentice, has always unable to shake the loneliness and sense of isolation that comes with being a Ranger. But his life quickly changes when a stranger arrives in the woods with a message from Crowley about something, or someone, needing he and Halt's protection from Morgarath.

Crossover. I got this idea from another writer who did a Ranger's Apprentice Fanfiction. The tag line was hilarious 'Can you imagine a Skandian singing "It's a pillow! It's a pet! It's a pillow pet!"

All their life, they have dreamed of becoming great knights like Wil's father, that he never knew, so they are devastated when they are both rejected as apprentices to Castle Faldore's Battleschool. Instead they are both apprenticed to Rowan, the mysterious Ranger whose uncanny ability to move unseen is thought to be the result of black magic. Reluctantly, Jadon and Wil learn to use a Ranger's secret weapons: a bow and arrow, a mottled cloak and a stubborn little pony. It may not be the sword and battlehorse they both longed for, but when Jadon, Wil and Rowan set out on a desperate mission to prevent the assassination of the King, the two friends from the orphanage, find that a Ranger's weapons are not so useless after all . . .

This is not mine! This is by Elfpen from Fanfiction! summary: The facts are simple. One, Will is undoubtedly, inarguably, and quite entirely sick. Two, it's time for the Ranger Corps Gathering again, and Will isn't going to miss it for the world. So, can the Ranger apprentice somehow use his honed skills, wit, and natural charm to pull a raging case of the flu unnoticed past Halt? Well, Will seems to think so.

A sequel to my other story called "Battle for Skandia Continuation." Halt and Will travel to Castle Araluen which lets Will see his old friends for the first time in months, but they also receive orders for Ranger Commandant Crowley for a new mission.
