Kion, leader of the Lion Guard, was always hopeful that the war he grew up in would end. His dreams came true, but not without a price. He got bit by a venomous snake named Ushari during the final battle. The venom would cause him to turn evil if left untreated, just like his great uncle Scar. He would have to journey to the Tree of Life to heal it, but also for another reason. He had just found out he was betrothed to a lioness from that faraway land that he had never met. Wallowing in sorrow and self-pity, Kion wonders what the future will hold for him in this lioness. Will it be sorrowful? Filled with hate? Those were some of the many things he wondered fearfully. A year after Kion's coronation. Lion guard are patrolling in the Tree Of Life, when suddenly a group of rogue lions sneaks in and attack the Tree Of Life. When the Lion guard and Night pride defend their home, Kion suddenly gets hit by a lion and falls into a river where he hits a large boulder on his head. He wakes up not to remember anything. Rani gets worried for Kion and starts on a journey to find him with lion guard. Will Kion remember anything? Will Rani and lion guard ever find him? Read to find out.

In this story Kion is not the Prince of Pridelands. He was actually the son of two lions named Simba and Nala who used travel around in search of a new safe home until one day , they died while protecting Kion from a pack of leopards. Kion somehow escaped from the leopards because of his parents and then started living alone in a forest alone without any friends. Until One Day, he helps a lioness named Rani, her Night Pride and her parents who are lost, to reach their home to the Tree of Life after which he learns that living with friends is much better than living alone.

As more threats arise on the horizon, Kion and Rani's daughter Sawa has to save her home from invasion and betrayal.
