Poe has never been one for romance, he would much rather stick to his usual dark writings. However, as he begins to wrestle with his evolving feelings for Ranpo, he writes a novel to help him sort things out. This story was meant for his eyes only and he intended on keeping it that way. But when both Ranpo and Poe trap themselves in the novel, many truths are uncovered that only lead to more questions and baffling emotions. This is just a silly Ranpoe fanfic I started for fun. The cover art does not belong to me and nor does anything from Bungo Stray Dogs. Sorry, I've never published anything on Wattpad before and I am figuring out how to credit people and avoid copyright! This is an AU where there are no abilities, but for whatever reason poe has been able to live longer than any normal person- (ik this is kinda dumb) but he's tired of living so long and watching everyone he cared for die (there is a TW for attempted suicide mentions) so he decides to keep trying to put an end to it all. That is until he met ranpo. (who is still a world famous detective)

This story is highly inspired off of the movie, "The Imitation Game" Very slow updates (might even be discontinued unless people want it) (This is placed in 1950's to 1960's) Ranpo, a boy who goes to an all-boy private school, is lonely till he has a roommate named Edgar. Edgar shines a light on his world. Ranpo and Edgar love each other, however, being gay is illegal. (The whole beginning is placed somewhere mid 1950's, it's all flashback so it skips around in time a lot) (The second half is somewhere around 1960 and that's where the main story takes place/the present time) Sorry for any wrong things about this time period, I'm not very good at history.

This story is a short Ranpoe story set after the last season but I'm writing it as I go cuz I'm too lazy to make a plan so ..imma just hope for the best. (And by Ranpoe I mean that its about them.)
