Jade goes to New York City for vacation in hopes that she can finally take a break. During her adventure, in the city that never sleeps, she ends up stumbling upon something she never thought was possible. Deep down she wants what she finds to be real even if it seems like something out of a fairytale... like something out of her own imagination. However, she must keep everything a secret or it could turn the entire world upside down.

Julia Portman was an ordinary fourteen-year-old girl with ordinary brown hair, ordinary brown eyes, and ordinary Floridian friends. In that way, she was a lot like her father. But also like her father - and like her mother, for that matter - Julia was anything but ordinary. She just didn't know it yet. --- This is a future fic/one-shot written for @Fanfic's current contest (as on January 2018). The premise of the contest is to write a short story surrounding the child of one of the main characters from a series - for this story, my character's parents are Jacob Portman and Emma Bloom (now Emma Portman) from the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children trilogy. This is an idea I've wanted to do for a while, so I'm glad this opportunity came along. I hope everyone enjoys!
