Diminique "Dime" Taylor is an ambition analytical 11 year old who conducts a series a letters to her deceased cousin Dominique "Dime" Taylor, her father Destin Taylor and her living mother Donna Taylor. Her letters reveal that humans it's natural for us to feel empathetic towards each other. However majority of the time, we don't know how to separate the weight of others world and our world. So we tend to feel crushed by life. Which most likely leads to unhealthy coping habits. We trick ourselves into believing we're drinking the pain away, or eating the hurt down, but in reality we are allowing these habits to be the cause of our death. Our emotional, spiritual, financial, and even physical deaths. Which leads to more generational trauma and curses for the kin left to break. Having unhealthy coping habits doesn't take away from the genuineness of our good hearts and good deeds. It just becomes a routine we adapt that eventually takes over if not terminated.

Things like Rape, Molestation and Injustice are our everyday lives, our every day stories and struggles. But people don't talk about them, nor do they really stand against it. Things We See Yet Ignore is a short story about Adaobi and her struggles with rape and molestation.

I am not brave enough to tell the police, I am to scared to tell my family & friends. But I need to get it out, tell my story of abuse, physical, mental, verbal, sexual And the depression anxiety that came with it.

What happens when someone doesn't have anyone who understands them? What happens if you push everyone away? What happens if your parents won't listen to you? What happens when you're scared of the dark?

1.) El has been asked out by Dean 3 times a day for months. Every time she has said no. When Dean tells her first period that if she says no he'll shoot up the school in third, she doesn't believe the common liar. Third period rolls around, and all hell breaks loose. When it's all over, people blame El for the shooting.
