*If you haven't seen "The Rain" yet, it's about a virus spreading through the rain infecting everything. If you touch the rain directly the virus painfully kills you in a couple of seconds or minutes.* Amelia Sweeney lost her parents and siblings, six years ago as the rain fell. At that time she was just a child left alone to face nature's cruel outbreak all by herself. She could've never gotten through it without a middle-aged man's help, who found her unconscious near her parent's body. He saved her. He was her hero. However, to be able to retain his protection through the years, she had to pay its price dearly. Please him in every way and fulfill each one of his wishes without exception. Living as a slave in this rough world or not living at all? Could she stand up for herself against him or is there anyone who could break her free?

The world as we know it has come to an end. A rain-carried virus has wiped out nearly everyone in Scandinavia. Six years later, Danish siblings Simone and Ramus, accompanied by their friend Alma, emerge from the safety of the bunker where they have been hiding. After discovering all remnants of civilization gone, they join a group of fellow young survivors and together they head out on a danger-filled quest throughout the abandoned land in search of signs of life.
