Sadie Stuart finally got the independence she wanted when her family moves into the palace while she stays behind in their old house with her loyal dog. Now that she's got the place all to herself, she couldn't wait to do anything she wanted, but all of her wishful thinking was cut short when a short-tempered fire spirit named Bero appeared in her hearth and told her that the most powerful wizard in the country was in town looking for him, placing Sadie in a situation she thought was absolutely dire.
