So, one part of the soul stepped into the sun tearing itself from the dark while leaving its other half alone in the murky shadows, willing it to come into the glimmer of the sun. It is said that that moment of darkness crawls into the half left behind, and that one half forever feels abandoned in one way or another. It was known as the "Bridge". The soul of the darkness is stronger and faster, sized up to keep its other half from harm. We call these the "Aliques". The Protectors. The soul of the light is quick-witted and strategists, but they are easily overwhelmed. We call these the "Kheepers". The Vessels. There was a time where the Alique and Kheeper would be borne together, but that time is long-gone. Now, Kheeper's and Alique's are borne separate and must find each other themselves. This often leaves one insane and the other dead. But that is not what happened here.
