Like most young girls, Melanie Rodgers had a favorite bedtime story growing up. étoile martin used to be a student of beauxbatons academy of magic from age 11 to age 16. after her 17th birthday, a horrible incident occurred resulting in her and her fellow classmate's almost deaths. several families including étoile's were upset with this and were withdrawn from the school. a lot of the students moved countries and enrolled at different schools that were deemed much safer than beauxbatons. étoile's parents insisted on her enrolling into hogwarts. sadly, none of her friends she had at beauxbatons didn't transfer to hogwarts, so étoile is starting the first term at a new school completely alone. cover art by me

The first chapter is weird. This is completely random so it's basically oneshots without the romance. All she wanted was a normal Hogwarts experience. No prophecies. No Dark Lords. No dramatic love triangles. As Luna Lovegood's sister, she'd already accepted that "normal" was probably out of reach. Still, she was determined to survive 4 years at Hogwarts with good grades, loyal friends, and as little drama as possible. Unfortunately, she also happens to be Ravenclaw's biggest troublemaker. Sneaking out after curfew, collecting detention slips like Chocolate Frog cards, and somehow ending up in the middle of every disaster Hogwarts has to offer wasn't exactly part of the plan. Neither was becoming friends with Draco Malfoy. Or catching the attention of Harry Potter. Now she's stuck between two boys, too many secrets, and a school year that gets more chaotic by the day. Because apparently, trying to avoid drama is the fastest way to find it. And if there's one thing she's learned, it's that Hogwarts never lets anyone have a quiet year. Especially her.
