Breezekit and Ravenkit are sisters, so alike, but so different. Something is sent to Breezekit, the vision of her death. Spooking Breezekit, the dream haunts her. Even after that, Ravenkit doesn't know how well she fits in and strictly follows the warrior code. Rouges are the lock to the key in her heart. Blood will rule.

FeatherClan struggles through a hungry leafbare as their main prey, birds, migrate in search of warmth. A new litter - Ravenkit, Nightkit, and Owlkit - is born in the midst of it, and it's even harder to welcome new mouths to feed when only the weakest cats can get their piece of fresh-kill. As it gets harder to find prey, WaveClan steals from FeatherClan territory, causing war between the two Clans. And, in the middle of it all, a plague of foxes strikes, leaving the Clan with little warriors to hunt for them.
