The school dance is coming and Callum and Rayla need to find dates.

Callum and Rayla tell a bedtime story to their children about how they met.

Rayla is an ocean elf, stuck in the depths and unable to join either human nor elves on the surface. The war isn't real to her, and though she grew up hearing the horror stories of humans, she found herself fascinated. Then, one day, she makes the mistake of saving a human prince, and a human sorcerer makes her an offer that she finds impossible to refuse. Rayla is having nightmares after the battle at the Dragon Lair about Callum and Viren. Arriving in Xadia, Rayla immediately finds herself in conflict with her homeland - Understanding that centuries of belief in Elven superiority over Humanity to be nothing but lies, yet still wanting to be proud of her people and their history. She finds herself questioning if peace can truly be attained when both sides are stuck in centuries of lies and misconceptions about one another, and how they can come to see one another as equals when they both beleive themselves superior. She questions why she ever fought for Xadia. Callum reminds her why they're fighting now.

It's the first time the humans and the elves celebrate the holidays together since peace was brought on the two sides when Azymondias returned to his mother.

Today is the 10th anniversary of the day humans and elves made peace. Callum knows that today is a big celebration, but he is planning to make it bigger.

Ezran comes in during a bad time

This story starts part of the way through the last episode of The Dragon Prince season . Ezran and Corvus have split off to return to Katolis while Callum and Rayla continue into Xadia. Ezran feels like his brother is in trouble but must return to become king , Corvus takes him to go see an old friend of his who might be able to help. Meanwhile, Callum becomes a target for some bloodthirsty elves and Rayla must choose between her people and the dorky prince she has come to love. Soren and Claudia come to terms with their father's issues and seek to right past wrongs. None of the art is mine but I thought each piece went with it's chapter.

Callum and Rayla continue on their journey to return Zym to his mother. Callum discovers more about magic and Rayla is forced to come to terms with her feelings. Meanwhile, Lord Viren is up to something back in Katolis.

I just finished TDP Season 3 and will no doubt be struck by many ideas while we wait in agony for Season 4. This will just be a bunch of random oneshots that I will write as they pop into my head, or theories and things I notice. If there's a prompt you want me to do, send it in and I'll try to write it. I don't own the show or characters, Aaron Ehasz and his team do.
