My life is shattered. I have no family other than my brother, who lives too far away to visit. I've got no one. The only person I have to make breathing worth it is Robert Downey Jr. There's been a load of stuff keeping us apart, but even miles of sea didn't bury my memories of him, or the love we might just have shared the whole time if things had been different. Damn. Why does Love have to be so hard?

Elizabeth, a twenty-five year old writer, isn't used to having her life go as planned. With an abusive alcoholic for a mother and father that ran out on them when she was just a little girl, she doesn't expect everything to work out in her favor. So she doesn't bat an eyelash when her mother overdoses, forcing her to stop pursing her Master's in journalism at Stanford University and return home to Maine. And after three years of making sure her mother doesn't choke on her own vomit in her sleep, Elizabeth has gotten used to her lackluster life. That is, of course, until she meets him on a night like no other--Robert Downey Jr.
