Umbrella: RIBS is a suspense novel set in the world of Resident Evil.
The story follows a PR Crisis Advisor named Kerry Marsh-Faber. She's been hired to smooth over Umbrella's public image following the Raccoon City Incident: The bombing of a mid-west American city which, unbeknownst to Kerry, was executed to cover-up the outbreak of a zombifying virus.
Using her social savvy and a series of ethically-questionable publicity campaigns, Kerry undermines the authority of the company's detractors (such as the U.S. government) and quells internal divisions within Umbrella.
For now, her ambition has blinded her to the truth of the Umbrella Corporation. But as she becomes enmeshed in the inner workings of the company, Kerry is pulled further into a conspiracy involving illegal genetic testing, human experimentation, and bio-organic weapons. How far is she willing to go for Umbrella, and can she convince the world to come along with her?
