(L Lawliet x reader?maybe) I use a self-insert OC named Strawberry to hold the place of Y/N. Strawberry is never described and I use they/them pronouns for them so that anyone may enjoy this story! The story is told completely in first person. The premise is that you, or Strawberry, work at the coffee shop that Light loves to go to as his secluded spot. You overhear his conversation one day and chaos regarding Kira ensues. This fic is a slowburn(?) and also goes in depth to follow the canon of Death Note to a tee. I try my best to include small details from the show and manga and keep L and Light as in-character as possible (it will never be perfect, alas). However the fic does use a lot of American terminology, including currency, so beware. Apologies since it isn't perfect, but I'm trying my best!
