However, reality hits hard when you leave home, and you find yourself horribly disappointed. And bored. That is, until one day a thunderstorm brings about something unexpected... *This is a newly revised, soon-to-be continued version of the One Shot I wrote forever ago! I hope you enjoy!

It's Halloween! But something weird is going on... was something looking in your window just now...?

For the tumble prompt: It was supposed to be your honeymoon. Instead, your ex had turned out to be a scumbag, so here you were. Alone. On a cruise through beautiful scenery. Sure you'd used their ticket price to upgrade your own, so you had a luxury suite instead of a small cabin. And sure, the food was good, and there were plenty of activities. But it felt like everywhere you looked you saw couples, and it was slowly killing you. As you sat alone at dinner (again) you found yourself interrupted: "Is this seat taken?"

When you get an assignment to interview a mysterious figure outside your field, you can't help but wonder exactly why nobody else seems to be able to find the guy...

You wait patiently as the files download to your computer, ever excited about the fact that your friend had managed to find that old game you'd wanted. It was weird, though; they'd given you some really specific instructions about how to install it...

Most of the earlier stories were written episodically and published as such; however, to minimize confusion and tediousness, I'm publishing all of their parts together as longer chapters.

EwM contains no smut, however, and that is not subject to change, so please go somewhere else if you want reader x monster smut instead of requesting it here. EwM is open to requests though, so let me know if you want to see a specific kind of monster and scenario in the next oneshot! Any monster from the public domain is allowed, from ancient mythology to classic literature, all the way up to modern day cryptids and urban legends!
