It had been quite some time since the last time you even attempted to enter a village. The main reason was that life was a bit harder on you than most. You backpacked an eternal jinx. Whether the reason was your parents and their legacy or the reputation you managed to amass on your own two feet we'll never know. But like any coin there were there two sides to the same story. Your looks belonged to your elusive mother. The words you look your mother were never spoken but it helped you get around without trouble and your chakra and jutsu control you have had since birth were nothing but amazing gifts that your father gave. You grew not needing to practice with the basics since they were a part of you already but you did have to learn how best to use your jutsu and how to communicate with a whole other consciousness sharing your existence.
Your shadow.
Able to do dart to places you weren't able to and listen in to conversations.
Able to make you melt into your shadow and hide you or make you jump with your shadow to another shadow resulting in an almost instantaneous teleportation.
And even able to come to your side and come out as a physical attack as black tendrils and when your own shadow wasn't enough you could steal the shadows of people around you.
But maybe the best part about you wasn't your jutsu or your shadow but your cool headedness. You knew all about these things and never let it get to your head, you were calm and as the narrator, I can say that you were definitely impressive at being a ninja, The best in the near future. A stoic grace that knew how to handle a kunai and kill before she knew how to make friends.
But was that really for the best?
