Some might call the glimpses of things to come a gift, others would call it a curse. All Mack knows is its a burden, one he carries for a sin he has no clear memory of. Flashes of indistinct images that filter through his drink. Puzzle pieces that reveal themselves sip by sip. With what he knows he can intervene in tragedies...if he's sober enough. This burden is his penance. tyler was at a coffee shop when he noticed an adorable boy with tattoos and colorful hair. tyler gawked at him. he was in awe. josh on the other hand thought tyler was thinking bad thoughts about him and confronted him, but tyler told him the exact truth which was the opposite. boyxboy

It happened in August. One morning she was here, laughing and singing by his side, and the next morning, she was gone. It took a single day for her to disappear, for her to leave an empty space in their apartment and in his heart. Her smell still lingered over the towels of the bathroom, the covers of their bed she had neatly folded, that last morning, still laid untouched on her side, and the flowers she had put in a vase on the dining table were slowly withering away. He had never seen it coming, that she would be gone so fast. He never expected that she could vanish from his life the way she had appeared, so suddenly and unexpectedly. Hades, the lord of the Underworld, has finally been allowed to leave his palace, and what could possibly be better than to take his wife to a ski resort? She hasn't seen snow since forever. Hades has been longing for a vacation. But this vacation is anything but relaxing.

Pete is the captain of a generation ship that has traveled the lightyears from ruined earth to its destination system. He enjoys the privileges of his rank, unwilling to risk them by attempting a landing on the planet they have been orbiting for years. Ralph, his younger brother, has spent his life in Pete's shadow, tinkering with the half-forgotten technology of their starship. And he is eying the planet below them with longing. He decides that it is time to start the descent. The starship's name is Last Hope.
