A decade and a half after the official fall of the United States of America, regional factions have developed urban towns with a constant government presence. The emergence of 'Gifted', or magical individuals change the scope of the post republic fall. With global incentive in using these gifts, terrorist attacks, government raids, and violent policing grow in protest of the super-powered people. But there is hope. Peni Wyr, a preteen girl ushered away from dangers to magickind, and a few other magicians are sent to a stable in the rural Midwest. There, she learns that their new safe haven is also the same place she'll use her magic. Among a snarky telekinetic, a brooding ex-government operative, and an immigrant escaping persecution, Wyr must measure up to explosive orbs, electrical generation and manipulation, and more as their new home welcomes more than she bargained for. In the city, unfortunate mishaps leads a head scientist to discover the disappearance of monitored magicians, discovering their whereabouts and assembling a weapon that changes everything. Two Thousand Years ago two kingdoms fell, and as the world fell into chaos the Celestial Court was established and led by a leader who remains unknown to this day. After the Great Vampiric and Werewolf war things have been shaky as humanity still has not recovered from unseen scars. Its been over three hundred years since a member of the Celestial Court has come out and spoken to the public, and now all of a sudden Angel of Death Azreal is giving a speech. Identical Twins Hinata and Alex and their best friend Felix are Juniors in highschool and begin questioning the validity of the myth. As they learn more and more they begin to learn that things are a lot more complicated then they seem. Will they be able to figure out the truth of the two men from the legend or will they, like the ones before them give up.

Through these transcendental meetings, Pedro begins to confront his repressed emotions and discovers that life, even tinged with pain, still holds moments of unexpected beauty and understanding. "Void" is a poignant exploration of loss, memory, and the search for redemption amidst the emotional turmoil of a grieving young man.

In our world, there are three types of people. Mystics, who have incredible connection to the earth's powers and amazing magical abilities. Aurians, who have no connection to the earth, and not a drop of magic in them. Half-Breeds, the middle ground, born from the rare love of an Aurian and a Mystic, born with no magic, but connection to earth. I, Rowan Oaks, am an Aurian. I will never be able to create water from air, or open up a flower bud before it was meant to bloom. But I'm alright with that. Genuinely, magic seems like a wonderful gift. You want it, but you could live without it. However, there is one thing that I've always envied Half-Breeds and Mystics for. The connection to the earth that I mentioned earlier? It's pretty important. Because of that bond, people can reincarnate.

Watch out for the blood. Watch out for the drip, drip, drip and the pain. What is reality? what is fantasy? Why is there so much pain? Who can say? They can say. They can make it all go boom. (This is a short story and may be extended one day)
