This is a coming-of-age short story I wrote in freshmen year! I didn't make any edits (but as a freshman it could've used some 'fresh' eyes) because I'm all about authenticity, ya know. Stephanie and her brother have been through a significant change of scenery, now living with their aunt and uncle, but they aren't adjusting well. This is the story of their late night escape to see their mother one last time... I know it's vague. Trust me. Just read it.
