Hello everyone! Welcome to the journey of Abi and Ashu. A slow-burn romance story about growing up, the innocence of school love, the struggles of long-distance, and the harsh realities of balancing ambition with a relationship. Before you dive in, here's a little about what you're about to read: 1. Based on a True Story This story is heavily inspired by actual events from my life. Much of the narrative is drawn directly from my personal journals. Because of this, the writing style is journalistic and slice-of-life; it may feel repetitive at times, but that's because real life doesn't always follow a perfect movie script. While the core emotions and events are true, some fictional elements have been added to stitch the narrative together smoothly. Some chapters will also feature simple illustrations to bring certain moments to life. 2. The POV System The main story is told entirely from Ashu's point of view. If you read only the numbered chapters (Chapter 1, 2, 3...), you'll still experience the complete story. You'll also notice some decimal chapters (like Chapter 5.5). These chapters are written from Abi's POV by my real-life girlfriend, the Abi to my Ashu. These chapters retell moments from her perspective or include scenes Ashu never witnessed. These are optional. Think of them as bonus content. 3. Language The story is set in a Tamil cultural context. Tamil dialogues are used to maintain the authenticity of emotions, and English translations are provided either immediately or through context. 4. A Small Disclaimer This is my first time writing a story. I'm not a professional author-I'm learning as I go. I've used AI tools to help with grammar and structure, but the heart, emotions, and experiences are entirely my own. Please forgive any rookie mistakes along the way. "So what were you gonna tell me?" He said seeming irritated. "You know what I think I will just come back another day" I said knowing that he was way to drunk to listen to me anyways. "No you are going to tell me now." He said "right now." I turned around ignoring everything he said to me and opened his door to walk out of the apartment. I got the door about half way opened when he sprinted up behind my and slammed the door in my face and stood in front of the door so I could not get out. "If you don't tell me right now" he said "I don't have to tell you if I don't want to tell you" I said irritated Next thing I know his hand is coming towards my face, he hit me so hard I fell to the floor. The pain was unbearable. I have never seen him look so angry. I looked into his eyes, they were black is if he wasn't even there anymore. "Tell me right now" he said, " or I'll do it again." Hesitantly with tears in my eyes I said "I'm pregnant Drake, I um, I don't know how far along I am but I do know that the baby is yours" ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Note - I do not own the picture above.
