Back in his homeworld, Elypha Prime he had a good childhood and even a strong relationship with his family very steady. It wasn't until his homeworld was exterminated by the Reapers as they turned it into a wasteland. Connor lost both his families in the Carnage spree as Alien machines had swept the planet in a relentless wave of Destruction. He was saved by a Spartan Four Units who were deployed to defend the Colony, Connor's unbroken spirit has captured the attention of their commander, who saw in him the strength to endure. Offering a chance to rise up from the ashes, He was recruited into the Spartan program. His journey did not begin as a symbol.
