Bai adored the spotlight. Night after night of awed gasps and amazed cheers as he flew through the air with his acrobatics troupe and their exceedingly well practiced routine. On stage, he was a ghost, a phantom for the hero to defeat. Sometimes the only way to use your voice is to write in silence... Perhaps these are not new observations, but oddly enough, I'm just now able to see them. It was like waking up one day, only to realize you were never asleep...and the pain you were imagining was very real. A book of poems about discovering nothing is what you thought, and you had learned the wrong form of surviving.

Set in the year 2052, after a so-called perfect government comes crashing down due to a conspiracy group that uncovered major flaws in the system, that caused a massive rebellion killing thousands. A group of teens from the last surviving city of EastHaven comes together to collect more info, while they learn about themselves and how they were connected to "the destruction of retaliation".
