Set the 1800s in another world where magic exists with technology more advanced than ours, countries are ruled by a certain monarchy of kings and queens. A ball for the rulers of 6 countries and a few selected nobles in the country of Gottvann occurs, and Charlotte von Heimeisch, the adopted daughter of a diseased aristocrat joins the ball.
Her written history is well known-she's known as the "true" daughter of Lieberman von Munich, the duke who died 2 weeks before the ball, inherited all of his riches, including the lots he bought across 4 cities, all of the workers under his power now transferred to hers, and she's basically living a life of her own, wanting nothing but to forget her real past and who she really used to be.
When she meets a man in the ball, her mind gets flashbacks from a life she wasn't familiar with, and her heart would ache.
She becomes friends with a few people who helps her in her journey to be a "full-fledged" aristocrat, but the king of Gottvan and his daughter are stopping her from living that peaceful life.
What could the royal family have against Charlotte that they continue disturbing a life she was about to achieve? Could this be related to her "forgotten" past? And what could be the meaning of those flashbacks that flashed through her head?
