"You're right. I should leave." He doesn't make a move. He holds his ground as he continues to look into my eyes. My eyes automatically close as he leans in closer. His lips brush against my ear, "just to be clear, I was never here. You didn't see anything tonight. I don't know you and you don't know me." I hear the sound of a laugh and my eyes shoot open. I swallow the lump in my throat and I'm stuck looking like a fish out of water, opening and closing my mouth. I'm dumbfounded. I thought we were having a moment, but this is Oliver we're talking about. "Don't look so surprised, cupcake." He leans over and grabs his shirt off the counter. I back up and allow him the space he needs. Walking to the back door, he glances back for split second and then turns back towards the door.

It has been a long time I left writing, so its a new beginning for me to again write and explore my words which have been lost since time. It is a short poem containing my feelings towards writing and words expressing the re-birth of a skill which I left in past and now again starting to connect it to me.
