Dream lives a simple life. He goes to class, does his work, drinks coffee at the small shop near his school and that's pretty much it. He has a few friends that he talks to every now and then but other than that he's just independent. So what happens when he spots a small record store on his way home that houses the prettiest boy he's ever seen? And what does Dream do when he makes an impulsive decision to work with the boy that makes his heart beat faster than any marathon? Total word count: 31 505

Grace works a record store in a small town in Oklahoma. Barely anybody comes in the shop and she spends most days alone (with the exception of her best friend). Until a strange man walks through the door... TW: Cursing ----------------------- NOTES: I am aware there's already someone named Grace in the show, so for the purposes of this fic, she doesn't exist lol I'll mention a few things in the story like characters, what they do, etc. but it won't be in line with the plot I also can't promise the characters will be exactly how they are portrayed in the show. Just please try to enjoy the fic as a fic and don't expect it to be exactly like the show.

Billie finished high school. She sure as hell does not want to go to college, but she does not know what she's going to do with her life. She manages to get a job at a record store, she thinks maybe she'll find her niche after spending some time there. Two years pass... she's still at the record store. She doesn't know what to do. With the help of her best friend, and a new friend she makes... she has hope... but is it enough?

Do animals even care to adhere to gendered pronouns? Liam would start lecturing me on assuming genders and stuff if he were here, but it's not like the dog can tell me and I'm hardly going to take a peek to find out for myself, so) because I saw on Animal Planet once that dogs get scared when they can't see your face. The Dog Whisperer is never wrong, therefore the helmet must go. "What's your name, buddy?" "Achilles," Says a voice from behind me, making me jump. "Jesus shit, that's, like, two near-miss heart-attacks in the last ten minutes." "Sorry." It's a guy. Broad shoulders, nice chest, chiseled face and his arms. He's smiling, though, despite the fact that I almost just killed his dog, so maybe all is not lost. "Yeah," I sigh, "Maybe don't let your animals into the street where unsuspecting motorcycle operators might accidentally hit them and consequently be scarred for life." He chuckles, "You're funny, kid." "Kid? I'm seventeen, firecracker. Can't be much younger than you." "Firecracker," He muses, "That's a new one." "Yeah, well there's more where that came from." I step back, letting him repossess Achilles' leash, sliding my helmet back on as I remount my bike. "Before you go," He says, "Can I get a name? A number? I have to repay you, obviously, for not killing my dog." "Addison," I say, "You're weird." "Nah," He says, "I'm Alex. Alex Santiago." I nod, flicking my face mask down and revving my bike back to life as he retreats to the sidewalk. "Maybe I'll see you around, then, Santiago." He grins, white teeth flashing against olive skin.
