Hi, I'm Alex. Emotions fucking suck. Things haven't been better ever since everyone I've ever known is turning their backs on me to the point where I'm running out of people to lose. This journal is, hopefully, a story of my recovery. However, I'm not sure how this is going to end, since I'm writing all of this down as it happens. However, the first step on my road to recovery is to stop this exact same thing happening to someone else. (all names are changed to respect others)

Esther a teenage girl struggling with the overwhelming pressures of life, mental health, and growing up. Battling dark thoughts, isolation, and a desire to escape, Esther finds herself drawn to the pool, a place that becomes a metaphor for her internal struggles. As she falls back into harmful habits, she faces moments of crisis and deep self-doubt. But with the help of therapy, her family, and small moments of self-realization, Esther begins to slowly rebuild her life, learning that healing is not about perfection but about showing up for herself. In the end, she faces the pool once more, not as a place of escape, but as a symbol of her growth and newfound strength.
