I'm Abby Parker, and this is the world you left behind. War broke out throughout the world, destroying everything in its midst. Children were frozen in time so that when we found a cure for our disturbed world, we would wake them and have them pursue a better life in a better world than what their parents left them. I was one of children. But I woke up from the antiserum and was made a Recruit in a group of people like me. It's currently a few months since Endeavor was named the Number 1 Hero and after numerous attacks on American Hero Academies, Class 1-A has just received some big news regarding their newest classmates.

Aurora being just a girl in a normal boring world meets a bad boy... will they end up together? Will they be put in danger? What will happen between them?

Somehow two best friends , Dylan and Raven, get caught up in what is called "The Midnight League". This is where teams made up of people between the ages of 16 and 21 battle each other with non-lethal weapons and state of the art technology in order to find valuable artifacts. And just like in every other story not everything is what it seems. There are questions that go unanswered like; why is the midnight league a secret? ; how do they get the highest tech? ; and why do the losing teams disappear off the radar? - - - (The blurb does sound quite cliche and my sincerest apologies) (This short story in being written in preparation for a comic book)
