Orphaned and barely surviving on his own, Harper bumps into a particular outlaw on his way to collect a debt from Thomas Downes; Harper, knowing of Downe's advancing tuberculosis, advises the debt collector, Arthur Morgan, offering instead to pay off Downes' tab himself- inadvertently changing the course of the Van Der Linde gang's history.
