Blood-red stains everywhere, everything destroyed. You'd never know she was there if she didn't leave the stains that lead to the murdered ones. So this is a short story I made for class. It's based on the idea of finding yourself. I was really inspired by Edger Allen Poes short story "The Masque of the Red Death", so if you are familiar with it, you will see the parallels. This is my short story and all. So no copying, it's copyrighted by me. And just don't be the ass who steals stories, that's just sad.

That all changed when he became the top of dragon training, and finally gets the chance everyone thought he only dreamed of. To kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Stoick was proud of his son, he had almost lost hope in him. Now, he proved everyone wrong, or so they thought. Hiccup wanted nothing more than to have this chance his entire life! However, that was before he met and bonded with Toothless, a night fury he had shot down weeks ago. Now, he wanted to escape, but not without attempting to convince the vikings that dragons weren't the real threat. He thought his monstrous nightmare match would be the perfect setting for such a feat. When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions. But... why then, has this new hero never visited Berk? And what will happen when he finally dose? Feel free to comment! I will also edit things I want everything to be amazing. If you catch an auto correct moment or anything that is an eye sore let me know please! I don't own any HTTYD franchise. there willl be some Hicstrid moments, but it will mainly focus on Toothless/Hiccup brotherhood. Yes, Valka will make an appearance and it will cover HTTYD 1 and 2.

"Masque of the Red Death" follows Prince Prospero, who attempts to avoid a devastating plague, known as the Red Death, by hiding with his guests in his abbey where no one can get in or out. He holds a masquerade ball and, in the midst of the revelry, a mysterious figure appears. *Edgar Allan Poe is one of my favorite authors/poets, and "Masque of the Red Death" is my favorite short story of his, so I thought I'd share it with you all.
