"When the Dragon's flame awakens in the heart of a human, fire will consume the skies, and the world as it is will come to an end" Nyx had heard it for as long as she could remember. Not just her; the whole world knew of the prophecy. It had been passed down through legends, whispered in ancient manuscripts, and carved into forgotten stone. No one knew who the chosen bearer would be. Out of fear, a secret order had been formed to find the Dragon's Flame before it could awaken. That order, relentless and patient, still existed to this day. Then, suddenly, Nyx's life and the lives of her two closest friends were thrown into chaos. Nothing went according to plan anymore. She had meticulously plotted her whole life, even the moment she would finally earn her doctorate. But now all of that would have to wait.
