I loved Voltron, but we all know it went to shit when the new writers took over. So I thought I'd rewrite it. After the team learns that their fearless leader Shiro survived the fight against the evil Zarkon and welcome him back to reassume his position Lance ultimately assumes the worse: That Keith would want his lion back and Allura would keep blue as she shows remarkable progress with it. Feeling useless to his team he secretly takes an escape pod and tries to go home back to earth on his own, wondering if everyone's lives would be better off without him. Coincidentally during his journey through space his pod stumbles upon a rift into an alternate reality. A reality where he never existed. But deep down he still has regrets, some loose strings he feels obligated to tie up, one of them being a confession he had denied for years... After Allura's seventh anniversary, the old gang reunites, only to discover that their jobs as Paladins isn't over yet... For the Lions, have returned.

With Shiro back, Keith would want red back, and Allura already being better in blue than he ever was, leaves him without a lion. he's broken and lonely; until a special someone fixes him the best he can.

This story is going to talk about Keith and how he finds out about being a galra but in a different way in some sort. He will be taken captive during one of the battles and sooner or later find out if he is a galra. Lance thinks he's nothing to the team, and things go even more downhill when Keith leaves. He has to try to be even more for his team to think he's good enough for them.
