This is Halt in the Ruins of Gorlan. Focus is on Halt, with some Will & Halt bonding, but more Halt & Gilan, Halt & Pauline and definitely more Halt & Crowley.

some of my favourite parts from the ra series are mysteriously given to the ra characters:) disclaimer that all the characters and main block of the story are john flanagans also i won't do all of them just some of my favourite parts, if you have a favourite part i'll do it if you want me too but i'm not rewriting all of john flanagans books he tried hard and deserves all rights on them:)

Will has a brother named Cole. He is ten years older than Will and tries to find Will when they get separated. But he gets caught up in more ways than he can imagine on the journey to put his family back together. Sarah is sent to fulfil a mission. But will she still be able to succeed if she meets Halt and Will?

The grassy slopes rose high above the ruins of the ancient castle. The legends were fascinating stories of hero's and underdogs, rising above to take on the challenges they faced. The sight was incredible. Nearly 1400 years since it had been the home of the greatest legends of the Common Era. And now here we are, standing at the ruins of what was once a powerful place. One day, Will spots a girl in the village, but she seems....different.
