At first, she brushed off her feelings as nothing more than gratitude for the man who had been saved from certain death. Y/n couldn't deny Merle. He was a complex man, with a troubled past and a hard exterior, but underneath it all, Y/n could see a kind and caring soul. But with Merle. He hesitant to act on his feelings. He was a man who had been through so much in his life, and he was afraid to let his guard down and open himself up to the possibility of love. He was used to being on his own, to fending for himself and not relying on anyone else but his brother. The idea of letting someone in, of letting himself be vulnerable, terrify him.
