What happens when a protection service you're unknowingly relying on suddenly stops doing their job? Nothing at first, at least for Inkopolis it was. The Plankton cup was on its way to the big stage, teams were gathering up, cheers were passed, and, of course, friends chatted and hung out. Until, well, someone went missing. Not a big deal, it's one person, so what? Truth be told, it's been plenty more than that. So now, it's starting to get a bit obvious, isn't it? When darkness arrives at the doorstep of the Inkling society, no one suspected a thing until it was too late. It's time for the slaughter, unless Goggles and friends can replace an organization they never knew about. Are you ready to serve, Elite?

So as to not clog my main One Shots book with Red Sole X Omega, I'm just gonna do an entire book dedicated to the ship. (Besides, I love writing about Red Sole, and I don't really want the majority of my writing about her to be about her being evil) With that being said, enjoy! Ultra-cliche cover by me. Title (and concept) inspired by the Alex C/Yasmin K song. Red Sole has always felt a bit torn in two. On one hand, her friends see her as a somewhat crazy, but overall nice inkling. The public, however, see her as a deranged psychopath. This leaves her feeling a little confused. Unfortunately, things only get worse when an old legend arises, turning her into a literal monster... Will team X-Blood be able to save their friend? Will Red Sole be able to break through the darkness within? And will they all learn to break free of the past?
