Redstrings Stories

An omega executioner, Nani, whose poisonous scent has been used by the crown to secretly execute far too many rogue Alphas in the palace dungeons, had finally run dry. It happened during a grand banquet celebrating Prince Sky's arranged engagement to a foreign princess. A rogue Alpha assassin broke through the glass ceiling, launching a surprise attack with a poisoned blade aimed squarely at the heir's throat. Nani, who was standing in the shadows waiting to be thrown out of the palace at dawn, jumps in on pure muscle memory and saves him. Using the absolute last bit of his scent to induce sudden heart failure in the attacker, Nani kills the Alpha assassin mid-strike. But in doing so, he runs out of every ounce of his remaining biological energy. His burnt-out body completely gives up, his heart stumbles, and he collapses limply onto the polished marble floor. The prince, shocked and driven by a sudden, protective surge of raw Alpha instinct, immediately surges forward through the screaming crowd and grabs him before he hits the ground. Then it happens. The string. It forms violently right before the eyes of the court-manifesting not as a soft ribbon, but as an ancient, blinding golden thread that erupts from Nani's scarred wrist and wraps tightly around Sky's, fusing their life forces together. Fated. God-gifted. Unbreakable. Mates.
