It all started with two partners for life, that loved each other to the moon and back....cursed with infertility. The empire needed an heir, and so the succession system began. As this system had been set in place, future rulers of the empire continued to use this system and embedded it in the empire's history. However, in present time, something (or someone) threatens the empires stability, and hints towards a war between 2 empires. The succession system became even harder than before.
