The Forest has been at peace ever since the beginning of the Clans and everything seems perfect and harmony. Morningsun the newly leader of ValleyClan promises of an bright and safe future for his clan and family, and Morningstar wants nothing more then to be there for his clan. However tragedy strikes when ValleyClan's medicine Cat and BlazeClan's deputy was found dead on both of the Clans borders and now it's up for Morningstar to keep his clan from falling as BlazeClan grows stronger or his clan falls. Once Darkness begins to sprout in each of the Clans starting with ValleyClan first it's up to Morningstar to keep it from tearing his clan apart.

In this sequel of the Looming Darkness, the Clans will face their most invincible enemy, as they struggle to fight for everything they love and protect at the same time. For awhile the clans have been happy with how life was. Everymoon was another day with new kits. But, one day Starclan gives every medicine cat a vauge prophecy that may put the clans lives in danger. "1 cat from each clan will save the clans." Everycat thought Starclan was joking until twolegs started capturing warriors, it leaves Silver, Pebble, and Fire to try to save the clans before its to late.

(Have you read my book The Beginning? Well, this short story is on the same timeline.) Reedpaw and his sister, Featherpaw, are on track to becoming warriors. But when an accident involving a tree comes up, Reedpaw starts to think that he'll never become a warrior.

Reedkit always thought he would be special when he grew up. But as he struggles through life, he realizes that not everything in life is easy. He must overcome all obstacles in his way in order for him to realize his true potential, to one day be the leader if Stoneclan.
