This is the revised version of my original story. Banished from her forest-clan home for a crime she did not commit, Seyari is forced to leave everything she knows behind - her family, her people, and the familiar currents of her world. Alone, she drifts toward the ocean, where the Metkayina clan dwells among towering reefs and endless tides. At first, the newcomers are wary of her, and the waters feel alien. But Seyari's fiery spirit, unshakable courage, and bond with her Ikran, Thalor, slowly earn her respect. She trains, hunts, and proves herself to the clan, discovering a strength she never knew she had. Along the way, she forms a deep friendship with the wise and spirited Ronal, and a bond that grows into love with the strong and steady Tonowari. Yet, even amidst the waves of acceptance and belonging, Seyari must confront the shadows of her past and the truth of her banishment - a journey that will test her heart, her loyalty, and the limits of her courage.
