Reflected Stories

Jon waited for fifteen years to return to a home that he promised himself he would never return to. Only he lied to himself. His friend made him go and face his ghosts so that he could move on with life and maybe find love in an unexpected place. And find a place with his long estranged family that he left so long ago. He needed to pick up the pieces.

A short series of sonnets telling the tale of a life's burdens, aches, and ups and downs.

This book will always be updating since its a collection of my short stories; I will be uploading them as when I write them, all the stories will have different themes so they are not connected and whenever I upload a new story it will be the complete one. Hope you guys like them (: Enjoy !!

The atmosphere was so quiet, you could hear the rattling of the stained glass windows, as if they were speaking. Mirrors hold truths, well distorted versions anyway. Looking in the mirror might cause some people to smile but it causes Tasmin to die a little more inside, because after all her reflection is nothing what she really looks like, her mirror image is a monster and it's determined to destroy Tasmin in the only way it knows how, challenge her. Wishing your reflection to change, isn't going to change it, Tasmin knows this; she tries to do things to change her mirror image, but it never works, what she doesn't realise is that to change ones reflection is to change the outlook on oneself but that also lies within her tangled past, and her dad. Clara works at a hospital delivering medical supplies to doctors and nurses. During a routine delivery of a wound vacuum, Clara happens to recognize a patient suffering from serious injuries. Will a paper red rose allow Clara to communicate her worry and compassion for the recovery of this patient?

Just think about how much time, effort and energy we waste wanting to be something we're not or trying to have the impossible. Yes, there are things we can change and it's always good to aspire to be better in some way, shape or form, but there's also a magic and beauty in just reveling in the wonders of what we have right here, right now- that's what this one's about :)
