Our main character, Logan, grew up in world where Dragon Migrations are forecast like the weather and magic instruments are an everyday necessity. Logan has no interest in any of his world's marvels. He instead prefers a peaceful non-death-provoking mundane life on the family farm. Meanwhile, something wicked lurks south of the kingdom devouring cities. When evil (literally) arises from the town square - a chain of events unfolds that completely upends Logan's delightfully mundane teenage life.
