Four months ago his best friend, Sydney, ran in front of a moving car and was killed. Things take a turn for the worst when every piece of the puzzle seems to be odd. But when Brandon drops out of school to get a part-time job not only does his other best friend, Johnny, stop talking to him, so does his mother. His fathers is a busy man, working at the local box factory almost every day and while his fourteen-year-old sister, Cindy, doesn't want anything to do him, Brandon just can't seem to cope. He buys a notebook at a small corner store and every now and then jots down his thoughts in hope that they'll gradually leave his mind forever. The thing is, not everyone is who they claim to be...
